New York Ad Agency launches in-house program giving employees the tools and the cash to trade
Seeking “Trader Mind”, The DIGO Agency of Traders Program Kicks Off
April 15 to Coincide with Tax Time, and Includes a Tongue-in-Cheek
Recruitment Ad Campaign
NEW YORK (April 15, 2010) – New York City-based advertising agency DiMassimo Goldstein (DIGO), has been working with and marketing to traders for the past fourteen years – the agency understands trading and traders better than any other. That is why they have decided to implement a new program, which will serve as an unusual perk to current and future employees – the opportunity to receive an intensive trader education, and a funded online trading account.
“We’ve conducted over 600 in-depth interviews with traders and investors, over one hundred focus groups and countless online polls,” says DIGO’s Founder and Creative Director, Mark DiMassimo. “Our DIGO team has worked thousands of hours alongside traders on trading floors and behind computer screens. As the agency grows, I want to make sure new employees get to understand traders as well as our current employees. It’s important to understand the trader mindset from the inside out – and there’s no better way than to live it ourselves.”
The DIGO Agency of Traders Program coincides with tax season and kicks off when taxes are due, April 15. Every Thursday at 12:30pm throughout the coming year, DIGO employees will gather for a one-hour trader education class – using online and onsite education options, futures, forex, stock and derivatives trading. Top trading educators have agreed to come to the agency to share their secrets with the DIGO team, including Kevin Lund, CEO of T3 Publishing, as well as trading experts from Forex.com and optionsXpress, among others.
President of DIGO, Lee Goldstein says, “We’re a tight, hard-working team in the office. This program allows us to come together under an educational platform to learn and practice what we’re building for these traders and investment companies.”
Employees will have $1,000 deposited into their online trading accounts, and after demonstrating a command of the basics, will begin trading real money, together.
Of course, The Agency For A Social Worldä is implementing a recruitment ad campaign to go hand-in-hand with the program, which includes tongue-in-cheek copy like, Your mother was right. If you’re going into advertising, you need a plan B. In addition to ads on Facebook and LinkedIn, DIGO is launching a wild posting campaign in New York City, and will be stenciling phrases like, Close out position in OMC. Buy up shares in DIGO. in front of advertising agencies including, Ogilvy, JWT, BBDO, and McCann, which also drive to AgencyOfTraders.com – a site detailing all current employment opportunities at DIGO. A digital postcard blast will also be sent out to 2,000 people who have either interviewed or worked for DIGO over the last decade.
Mark DiMassimo and Lee Goldstein are available for interview.
Recruitment ads and photographs of the stencils are available.
